What we know about the 2021 Ford Bronco
Ford will take the wraps off the all-new Ford Bronco at a global reveal on July 13
The Bronco will launch with a 2.3-litre turbocharged four-cylinder EcoBoost petrol engine
The Bronco will come with a 10-speed automatic transmission, plus the option of a seven-speed manual with six forward gears and a crawl gear
A leaked screen shot confirms Ford will introduce the second-generation Nano 2.7-litre EcoBoost engine into the Bronco as an option, or as part of a Bronco Raptor package

A 6 speed manual plus a crawler gear in a two door soft or hard top reborn Bronco would be amazing. I fear the take right might not be very high but that is the real Bronco. Baby Bronco can die die die, since it basically looks like a Patriot esque dis ap pointment.

Check enough boxes on the order form-- and send enough money to Dearborn-- and I’m sure we can get ‘Ol Shelb’ to sign it and call it a Cobra...

In Ford terminology the model with a suicide door option is: Bronco Raptor Mustang Mach-E Brougham Marauder Coach Door Edition.

Yeah, I just think it’s funny that this has been teased throughout as a “back to basics” truck that recalls the original Bronco or FJ40... yet every actual reference to the released product looks suspiciously Mall-Crawler-y. With high amounts of “added content”.
I’d love to see the ‘basic” truck come out, but I suspect that it will be as rare as the ‘base’ Cayman GT4 everybody said they wanted.

I still like thinking of the nomenclature the other way round - Raptor Bronco, Raptor Ranger, Raptor F150. I don’t know why that makes my brain happier.

They would be idiots not to make a raptorized Bronco.

That man just mints money by signing random shit.
I’m sure in the Futurama future, they will preserve his arm and not his head.

I know, thanks to the movies, that we’re supposed to kneel at the altar of anything Shelby... but he was quite a self-promoter.
A couple of colleagues in the UK, involved early on the GT40, still get visibly angry when the topic of “Shelby” comes up. He represents everything to dislike about ‘Muricans.

Given it’s based off the T6 Ranger platform and that’s already be Raptorised and engineered for the 2.7 Ecoboost...this is as surprising as a Trump Twitterstorm.
However, because Ford have decided that it won’t be made in RHD...and we are getting a new Ranger/Everest /Amarok next year anyway...we can’t have the Bronco.

Should the dumb nickname be Br aptor or Ronco? The world wants to know.
